Privacy Policy
Cycle (the "app") helps you keep track of things you do on a recurring schedule. It works without an account. What you enter stays on your device, and the app sends purchase confirmation details to the operator only when an in-app purchase completes.
1. Information sent to the operator
When you buy "Premium+" in the app and the payment completes, the app sends the following to the operator's server once:
- Platform (iOS or Android) and store
- Product ID, transaction ID, purchase token (Android), transaction date, and environment (real or test purchase)
- App version and app language
Purpose: to confirm that a sale took place.
Not sent: your name, email, phone number, location, device or advertising identifiers, payment method, or any cycles, groups, history, or notes you enter in the app.
The operator does not combine this information with other data to identify you and does not use it for advertising or tracking. Payment itself is handled by the App Store or Google Play.
Retention: deleted 60 days after it was sent.
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you enter stays on your device only:
- Cycle names, intervals, last-done and next-due dates
- Group names
- Completion history and any notes you write
- Notification, reminder, theme, and language settings
This data never leaves your device. Deleting the app or using "Reset data" in Settings removes all of it.
3. Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are used only if you grant permission, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.
4. Export and import
"Export data" creates a file only when you trigger it and hands it to the destination you choose through your device's share sheet. "Import data" reads a file you pick on your device and replaces the current data. Neither sends anything to the operator.
5. Third parties and transfers abroad
The operator does not sell or share information with third parties. The app includes no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
To receive the purchase confirmation details in section 1 and notify the operator, these services are used:
- Vercel Inc. (United States): runs the server that receives the details and keeps its server logs
- Slack Technologies, LLC (United States): delivers the sale notification to the operator
The details are sent over the internet when a payment completes and are kept as described in section 1. If you do not want this transfer, do not make an in-app purchase; every free feature works without one.
6. Contact and store reviews
"Contact" opens your mail app to write to the address below. Anything you send is used only to reply to you and is not retained afterwards. "Write a review" and rating prompts use features provided by the App Store or Google Play, and their privacy policies apply.
7. Children
The app does not check age, and sends nothing to the operator other than the purchase confirmation details in section 1.
8. Your rights
To see or delete the information in section 1, email the address below. Tell us the purchase time or transaction ID and we will find and handle the record.
9. Changes
Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
